Eid Al Adha Tabaski Muslim Islam Festivals Burkina Africa_2010_13071-Edit_ireneabdouphotography.com.jpg
On the morning of Tabaski, men, women, and children alike converge on the great mosque of Djibo in northern Burkina Faso for a special Tabaski prayer. This part of the country is primarily Muslim, inhabited mainly by the Touareg (pictured here) and Fulani, both traditionally pastoralist ethnic groups, crisscrossing the Sahel and Sahara with their cattle and other livestock, in search of green pastures and fresh water.
