Netherlands Carillon in Arlington Virginia_Washington DC Sightseeing_2011_10338-edit_ireneabdouphotography.com.jpg
Adjacent to the Arlington National Cemetery lies the Netherlands Carillon, a gift to the people of the United States from the Dutch for their aid during and after World War II. Each of the 50 carillon bells carries an emblem signifying a different group in Dutch society, together with verses of poem written by the Dutch poet, Ben van Eysselsteijn.
