Between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, and on the Mississipi River, lies Oak Alley Plantation, also known as the "Grande Dame of the Great River Road".  Nearly 300 years old, live oak trees form a 1/4-mile canopy leading up to the classic Greek-revival style antebellum house.
