Northern Burkina Faso Fulani African Nomads People_2010_13865_ireneabdouphotography.com.jpg

In the seasonal village of Bantagiri in northern Burkina Faso, a Fulani woman sits with her children inside a straw mat house. The Fulani are traditionally nomadic pastoralists, crisscrossing the Sahel season after season in search of fresh water and green pastures for their cattle and other livestock. The straw mat house can be reassembled and dissasembled at will.
