A proprietary patent medicine vendor (PPMV) in the Dakata area of Kano, Nigeria, displays Gold Circle and Lifestyles condoms, Waterguard - a chlorine product that makes water safe to drink - and malaria treatment drugs on it shelves. These products are distributed by the Society for Family Health (SFH), Nigeria's largest indigenous non-profit and affiliate of the international social marketing organization, Population Services International (PSI). To the right of the shopkeeper is a malaria treatment job aid developed and produced by SFH, with USAID funding.
